Dr. Stephanie Vera traveled a most interesting path to MINT Dentistry. She was born and raised in the Dallas area, graduating with honors from Plano West Senior High School before attending the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University, ranked the number one college in the United States. While in college, her interest in history led her to spend a summer abroad in Greece and Italy studying Greco-Roman History. Upon her return to ASU, Dr. Vera determined to be a dentist and she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biological Sciences following the defense of an undergraduate thesis on the relationship between bacteria of the mouth and heart health. After Greece, Rome and Arizona, she was accepted into the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Dr. Vera was an active student member in the American Dental Association, North Texas Hispanic Dental Association, Psi Omega Dental Fraternity, and Texas Association of Women Dentists. While in dental school, she actively participated in research through the biomedical sciences department leading her to attend the national meeting for the International & American Association for Dental Research in Seattle, Washington.
Upon graduation, she determined to join the best dental team in Texas, did her research and decided that she and MINT Dentistry had the same mission:
To bring the finest dental care to as many people as possible.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Vera enjoys spending time with her husband Kevin and their dog Rosalind. She likes baking and is an avid movie buff.
